I grew up in a small town with a dad that loved all things bleeding edge in technology, so I was lucky to have access to computer trends as they emerged. I started teaching myself programming in grade school with dreams of working as a game programmer.
I got married and had my first child right out of High School at 18 as I kept working toward that goal and finally graduated with a degree in Computer Science. I put it to immediate use as a software engineer at The Boeing Company, which was right up my alley as I have always had a huge interest in aeronautics. Boeing was a great place to work, and I’m very fortunate to have had the experience of working there.
However, after the success of SimpleRockets, Andrew realized he needed another code-slingin’ partner, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tackle my dream of creating games. I’ve been having a blast combining the trifecta of my interests: programming/games/aeronautics into a daily gig ever since.
